Imagine a team of highly qualified and enthusiastic people available to provide you with all the information you need. And imagine one of these competent folks willing to sit down and spend time with you developing a personalized strategy for achieving your goal.
Perhaps your goal is to step into your first fulfilling career, or to make more money, or to re-train for a new vocation. Maybe you want to get off EI as quickly as possible. Maybe you want to explore starting your own business. Maybe you want to own a nicer house someday (or your first house), or spend more time with your kids by working part-time, or discover the unique gifts and abilities that you bring to the world.

Attaining a goal is usually easier when you have support and encouragement. At Career Link, experienced employment counsellors will discuss your options and help you make a plan. Career Link workshop facilitators provide classes on 20 different topics. Labour-market advisors in the Self-serve Career Lab provide news about job trends, forecasts, and the latest information on training and certification. There is always someone on hand to assist you with your resume and point out the latest job postings. You are given access to computer workstations, public telephone, photocopier, and fax to help you with your career planning or job search.
This month, as Career Link transitions to a WorkBC Employment Services Centre, we will continue to offer you a wide range of integrated employment services and supports as part of the Employment Program of BC. Career Link will ensure that everyone - including immigrants, youth, individuals with Aboriginal heritage, Francophones, persons with disabilities, and people living in rural and remote areas - has access to needed supports and services for which they are eligible. Last year,Career Link helped 640 Powell River residents obtain employment!
