Requirements |
| - Driver’s licence and vehicle required. - Relevant degree, diploma, or certification in a related field - Experience in an administrative role, reception, or social services - Ability to use technology proficiently and adapt to new technology - Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully and professionally - Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing - Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands - Ability to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment - Ability to work individually as well as part of a team - Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) - Professional telephone manners and strong interpersonal skills - High flexibility with skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse environment - Inclusive and non-judgmental |
Duties and Responsibilities |
| - The Administration and Client Navigator will be required to undertake a variety of duties to increase access to benefits for low-income residents and support the completion of tax returns - This role will also act as a first point of contact for clients by phone and in person for the Poverty Law Advocacy office Duties include: - Answer the phone and emails; schedule appointments - Guide clients in filling out forms or tax returns - Database entry - Maintain office records and files - Interview clients for intake and prepare client statements - Follow up on case files - Support clients outside the office for the purpose of connecting with the Legal Advocate - Assist clients with mobility barriers and those that may require extra support to complete PLA tasks |
