Requirements

- Driver’s licence and vehicle required.
- Class 5 Driver's Licence
- First Aid
- Criminal Record Check
- Previous experience working with people with developmental disabilities and /or Autism is an asset
- Be a positive role model
- Effective problem solving skills, good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to follow through on plans and guidelines
- CSW diploma or equivalent is an asset
- Various shifts from 9:00AM to 10:00PM and some overnights are available
- 30 to 36 hours per week

Duties and Responsibilities

- Support a man with Aspergerís in his home and community to coach him in the development of personal and life skills
- Aid him in the home and in the community to allow him to function more safely and independently
- Facilitate physical, recreational, social and educational activities
- Provide emotional and sensory support and feedback
- Model target behaviours for the client and assist him in identifying and resolving potential problems in an effective and efficient manner
- Monitor his progress and well-being, and provide written and/or verbal reports regarding activities and progress
- Ensure that all required documentation is complete and accurate
