Requirements |
- Bilingual, French/English - First aid certificate completed before your departure - Criminal background check completed prior to departure - Possess interpersonal skills - Possess a creative sense - Ability to express oneself - Ability to work on computers - Enjoy working with people - Have experience working with youth - Ability to work in a team or alone with little supervision - Possess initiative and be able to organize well Desirable but not mandatory: - Experience or education in the field of recreation and/or education or other related field; - A lifeguard certificate According to the Canada Summer Jobs and Young Canada Works criteria, you must also: - Be between 15 and 30 years old at the time of starting the job; - Be a Canadian citizen, or permanent resident, or have refugee status in Canada; - Have been a full-time student in high school, CEGEP, or university during the semester prior to employment; - Intend to return to full-time studies within the semester following employment |
Duties and Responsibilities |
1. Plan and implement a weekly schedule of educational and fun activities for predominantly English-speaking children aged 6 to 12; 2. Execute activities from Monday to Friday; 3. Be responsible for the maintenance of the hall and playground; 4. Ensure the safety and well-being of children enrolled in the program; 5. Manage personal, medical and timesheets; 6. Follow up with the contact person and supervisor through meetings, texts, and/or emails; 7. Write a final evaluation as well as the beginning and end of programming reports |
