Requirements |
- A degree in a related field or a combination of experience, education, and training including sexualized violence and anti-violence experience - Experience and skills in setting up a new program - Excellent working knowledge of local community-based programs and related provincial systems - Experience and skills in public speaking and facilitating workshops - Understanding of and work from a feminist perspective - Flexibility and willingness to work some evenings and weekends - A clear understanding of the social and personal effects of sexualized violence - A current criminal record check |
Duties and Responsibilities |
- Provide immediate support and safety planning after a sexual assault - Provide wellness planning and proactive service referrals to clients - Engage in service coordination with justice, social, and health partners - Provide community outreach and engagement including prevention, education, and awareness raising |
