- Driver’s licence and vehicle required.
- Completion of a diploma or certificate program in computer science, computer programming, or network administration is encouraged, or time in the industry (1+ years)
- Experience working with Microsoft operating systems, system administration, and system security experience.
VMWare and HyperV system experience
- Experience running and maintaining an Active Directory and/or SharePoint system.
- IP network fundamentals, routing, subnetting.
- Experience with Ubiquiti / Meraki / HKVision Software
- Experience with VOIP networking and protocols
- Excellent PC skills, including Microsoft Office
- Vulnerable Sector Check and/or Criminal Record Check clearance

Duties and Responsibilities

- Communicate electronically and in-person with computer users experiencing difficulties to determine and documenting problems
- Maintain and troubleshoot local and wide area networks (LANs and WANs), datacentre networks, web servers, computer workstations, as well as connections to the internet and equipment such as printers, monitors, and other devices
- Test and install networking and operating system software, software applications, and hardware
- Server maintenance, documentation, and support.
- Server and Application security maintenance and review.
- Ensure data protection and recoverability for all supported systems.
- Co-ordinate access to and use of computer networks for employees
- Back up data
- Run disaster recovery operations
- Run tests for security and quality of service
- Manage email use among employees
- Purchase of necessary hardware when onboarding employees
- Perform PowerShell scripting or other basic scripting tasks
