- Driver’s licence and vehicle required.
- Grade 12 graduation plus some post-secondary education or experience in an administrative support role
- Excellent verbal and written English language skills
- excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong ability to independently plan, organize and carry out work assignments while managing time effectively
- Ability to manage website and social media accounts
- Ability to design graphics for web and print using Canva following the United Way style guide
- Working knowledge of Google Docs and Google Drive
- Willingness to be flexible in hours depending on operational needs
- Ability to comply with all PRDUW policies and procedures, vision, mission and values
- Engaged in the community and committed to United Way’s community impact mission
- Ability to provide a clear criminal record and vulnerable sector check every 5 years
- Ability to carry out all duties of the position
- Experience working or volunteering in the social service non-profit sector is an asset
- Experience with fundraising, grant writing and/or grant administration is an asset

Duties and Responsibilities

- Maintain an orderly and welcoming office space, including regular public office hours
- Maintain and update program and donor databases (MS Excel)
- prepare and submit statistics and summary reports as requested
- maintain an active presence for PRDUW on social media (Facebook)
- undertake website updates as needed (Weebly)
- create print and digital promotional material as requested (Canva)
- Assist with communication to community partners, donors, volunteers and the public
- Assist with weekly, monthly and annual financial administration tasks including bank deposits, accounts receivable/payable, issuing tax receipts, reconciling financial records, and supporting the annual audit
- Maintain orderly digital and print files
- Schedule meetings, set up Zoom calls, prepare agendas and documents, and take minutes
- Assist with procurement, ordering and receiving as requested
- Perform other clerical tasks as required
- Provide event and program support, including occasional direct service with vulnerable clients and liaising with nonprofit partners
- Assist with fundraising and donor recognition, as requested
- Assist with promoting and administering United Way grant funding opportunities
- Promote PRDUW programs in the community
