Requirements |
- 3-5 years cooking experience in a fast-paced environment - First aid and a valid driver's license - Ability to create soups and stocks from scratch - Ability to work independently as well as in a team with minimal supervision - Excellent communication and time management skills - Attention to detail, an eye for quality, and high standards for customer service - Basic computer knowledge (experience with Apple operating systems an asset) - Healthcare experience an asset - Experience cooking for large groups an asset Applicants must be willing to work early mornings, days, evenings, and/or weekends - Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing - Ability to operate related equipment - Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position |

Sunshine Coast Health Centre (SCHC) and Georgia Strait Women's Clinic (GSWC) are an ever-growing organization currently with 40 inpatient beds for men and women receiving treatment for addictions, mental health, and trauma. SCHC/GSWC is licensed under the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority, accredited under Accreditation Canada, and a Certified B Corp. With a shift in how the kitchen team is scheduled, we are adding 2-3 full and part-time cook positions. The successful candidates for this position will be a self-motivated individuals with previous kitchen experience in a fast-paced environment |
