Requirements

- Customer service experience and two years of post-secondary education is required
- Proficient computer skills, including typing and keyboard skills, required
- Previous library or related experience preferred
- Ability to meet and communicate with the public with assurance, understanding, courtesy and
tact required
- Clear criminal record check and proof of job credentials required
- Weekends and evenings may be required

Duties and Responsibilities

- Help the public navigate and access library resources
- Answering, handling and/or referring telephone inquiries
- Assist with basic trouble-shooting of Library public services equipment including public
computers and printers
- Issuing and renewing new patron registrations
- Checking out and checking in Library materials

Additional Details

- $19.99/hr during probationary period
- This is a term position tied to a leave, to start immediately, the anticipated term is until mid-August 2021
- The position is subject to the CUPE Local No. 798 collective agreement
